MODERN METHODS OF TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

Language-training and education strategy as the main pathway, which is required for language skills training or improvement of professional competencies of future specialists, must continuously reform and adapt to a changing environment and new challenges faced in the context of globalization proces. The digitalization and intensification of innovation activity, in particular towards the establishment of innovation educational technology, can be defined as opportunities to reform the higher education system. So, in this science paper was defined that modern pedagogical technologies of language teaching emerged as a result of digital transformation; moreover, the need to increasing autonomy of educational process (first of all, in the context of introducing quarantine measures and martial law in Ukraine) raises the importance of electronic resources, information and communication technologies, artificial intelligence and digital platforms as a tools for organisation of educational process in Ukrainian universities. Accordingly, the article is devoted to the analysis of modern, innovation oriented methods of language teaching students in universities in the context of determined its as a factors, which have an impact of higher education quality and influenced on formation of professional competencies and level of competiveness of future specialists. Comparison, methods of abstraction, analysis and generalization are the research methods which were used in the article. In this science paper the essence of modern pedagogical technologies, which used in teaching foreign language in Ukrainian universities by teachers, importance of transformation of traditional methods of teaching students under post-pandemic instability and martial law condition in Ukraine were determined. The key tools, resources and technologies, which used for increasing the level of effectiveness educational process, in particular foreign languages learning, as well as way for development students’ language skills were described by authors. The role of digitalization as a way for support changes in modern pedagogy and methods of teaching students, first of all, the impact of digital transformation on education process, was researched in this article.
