PSYCHOLOGICAL BARRIERS AND WAYS OF OVERCOMING THEM IN THE PROCESS OF CONDUCTING AND VOCAL-CHORAL TRAINING OF A HIGHER EDUCATION APPLICANT

Abstract

The article considers the concepts of psychological barriers in the way of professional formation, personal improvement in the process of conducting and vocal-choral training of higher education applicants. The emotional mechanism of these barriers is analyzed, consisting in the intensification of negative feelings and attitudes, such as shame, guilt, low selfesteem, anxiety, fear of public performance, the stage, etc. All of them are unfavorable factors for intensification of musical perception, thinking, personal and professional improvement. The influence of the music art on the balance of psychological states of a person, and the embodiment of performing artistry in the process of choral conducting and vocal-performance activity are outlined. The subject field of musical psychology includes the study of musical abilities, understanding of the psychological laws of sensations, perception, and thinking. The conditions for overcoming the psychological barriers through various behavioral strategies are determined. It is defined the influence of limiting personal attitudes in professional formation and own potential disclosure, as well as their predictable programming for a negative result. Two types of thinking on the way of overcoming a psychological barrier are defined: fixed thinking and development. Their influence on the perception and results of solving a particular problem is studied. The basic patterns of thinking and perception of events are considered. A conditional strategy for dealing with limiting beliefs during choral conducting and vocal-choral activities arising from one's own experience and socio-cultural influences on one's personality is proposed. Factors of effective interaction of participants of educational process for stimulation of musical thinking, motivation to creativity, disclosure of their conducting, vocal and choral, musical and pedagogical, and performing potential are determined.
