Abstract
The article deals with the problem of the formation of cross cultural competence of students to ensure effective professional activity and lifelong learning in the era of digital globalization. The analysis of the literature is presented, showing the relevance of the topic under study and the need for training a specialist capable of possessing a certain set of competencies, including the skill of cross cultural communication. The authors refer to the European Reference System for Key Competences for Lifelong Learning, in which cultural awareness and the ability to express are one of the key competences. Cross cultural competence is defined as understanding and respect for how ideas and meanings are creatively expressed and transmitted in different cultures and through a range of arts and other cultural forms. The analysis of theoretical and methodological sources showed that the formation of cross cultural communication skills is one of the most important trends in student training. Such skills include conscious knowledge of one's own culture (cultural introspection), the ability to analyze interactions, predict misunderstandings, and adaptive behavior. The main conditions of professional training of students are openness to cross cultural cooperation, the desire to cooperate in cross cultural teams, cross cultural exchanges and communication on international business management. The authors have distinguished such methods of forming cross cultural communication skills as creating project presentations with in-depth and comprehensive analysis of business cultures of different countries (study of management style, greeting culture, dress code, gifts, time management, etc.); brainstorming by solving cases, solving cross cultural dilemmas, discussing controversial topics and study trips abroad, including grants. The results of approbation of the distinguished methods are presented and their effectiveness is proven.
