Abstract

In the case of blended learning, one of the important issues in the student learning process is the choice of appropriate digital resources. This article describes the possibilities of one of the tools for organizing joint activities of students and teachers – a virtual board. The authors consider Google Jamboard and Padlet virtual boards as an example. The purpose of the article is to analyze the effectiveness of the use of online interactive boards Google Jamboard and Padlet in Ukrainian language classes (for professional purposes). The functionality of the Jamboard is quite simple for teachers and students to master. In the process of learning the Ukrainian language (for professional purposes), the board can be actively used in explaining new material, and the simultaneous performance of tasks by students, in particular in consolidating the material. Also, the online board is convenient to use when drawing different schemes to organize reflection or brainstorming. The Padlet board, which is one of the most popular services among educators in the humanities or social sciences, has more advanced functionality. The Padlet virtual board offers various templates (wall, canvas, ribbon, storyboard, columns, conversations, map, timeline), and the teacher chooses what is needed depending on the planned outcome of the lesson. After that, certain settings are made, in which in addition to the design of the board (background, font, etc.), you can configure posts (post position, comments, reactions, etc.) and filter content (request approval, concealment of profanity). Jamboard and Padlet are services that allow each student to place their work on the board, and the teacher – to comment and evaluate each. Boards can be used to work together and collect material on one wall. That is why they are ideal for group remote work.
