ORGANIZATION OF EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN THE CONDITIONS OF BLENDED LEARNING FOR FUTURE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALISTS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the organization of educational activities in institutions of professional higher education in the context of blended learning for future telecommunications specialists. Due to COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine caused by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, distance and blended learning has become one of the world’s leading trends in education, which implements the principle of continuous, quality education and is able to meet the ever-growing demand for knowledge in the information society. The author analyzed the experience of scientists in the use of blended learning and ICT tools in professional higher education institutions. The study describes the digital learning tools used by teachers in the disciplines «Switching and Information Distribution Systems», «Maintenance of Station Equipment», «Subscriber Access Networks» at the Kyiv Professional College of Communications; the definition of blended learning is given. The author described the means of creating educational content for students majoring in «Telecommunications and Radio Engineering», described the use of simulation programs and workbooks in the organization of blended learning. The diagram of learning success after using workbooks in the process of teaching the discipline «Switching and information distribution systems» is given. The survey was attended by 27 students of the Kyiv Professional College of Communication. As a result of the surveys, the author determined that the use of workbooks and simulation programs improved the quality of learning and contributed to the improvement of knowledge and professional competencies of future telecommunications specialists. It is established that in the conditions of blended learning it is important to apply different forms and methods of work, adapt curricula to the individual characteristics of students; change the approach in the evaluation system.
